Ever thought about installing an outdoor kitchen? We’ve put together five reasons why you should consider it..

It’s a well known fact that family and friends always congregate around the kitchen, whether it’s for breakfast, at a dinner party, or when you need that cup of tea, a biscuit and a chat. Food and drink brings people together and therefore, so do kitchens. That might sound silly, but it’s true; it’s a bonding experience which CountryField Gardens plans to take outside with our outdoor kitchens and alfresco dining.

1. Entertaining

Make the cooking an integral part of your dinner party entertainment. An outdoor kitchen eliminates the necessity of one person slaving in the kitchen, far from the chit chat. It allows your guests to become involved in the cooking, jostling to check their steak is done just the way they like it. The double burners enable everything to be cooked in the thick of it, whether that’s warming sauces or boiling veg. There’s no need to even head back in the direction of the house!

2. Increase your living and entertaining space

Make the most of the lovely summer weather by increasing your outdoor living space. It’s not just a kitchen, it’s a kitchen, a dining room and can even become a living room too. We know the weather in England isn’t always on our side, sometimes it’s a bit drizzly, sometimes it’s a bit chillier than we‘d like, but when we get those cracking English summer days there’s nothing we love more than sitting outside enjoying the sunshine with a drink.

To ensure you make the most of your outdoor living space, we’d recommend a louvered canopy or a Crown Pavilion for a little shelter, obviously our CountryField Kitchen to cook up a delicious feast on and a Polywood outdoor dining set to dine at. To finish the job off, you could add one of our outdoor sofas (found here – one of my favourite products!) for a relaxing lounging area.

If you’re really serious about setting the party scene, why not check out some lighting options, outdoor heaters and some snazzy extras for your kitchen? The possibilities are endless!

3. Enhance the taste of your food

Please your tastebuds by experimenting with flavours, accompanying sides and different cuts of meat on your grill and side burners. Even the most amateur of cooks can create some incredible dishes to be proud of! Our Fire Magic grills offer an optional rotisserie kit for large joints and a thermometer probe to ensure you take your meat off the grill at exactly the right time. Direct or indirect cooking – the choice is yours!

From experience, there will always be that one person in the family who wants to experiment more and more; in fact, my father is quite obsessed with improving on last times grilling efforts – he’s become quite the BBQ chef over the summer!

4. Increase the value of your home

An outdoor kitchen is an investment to use and enjoy for years to come, but also an investment that will only increase the value of your estate should you ever move away. Whilst leaving your outdoor kitchen will no doubt excite potential purchasers and send their imagination into grilling overdrive, there is nothing to say you cannot bring your kitchen with you! Although designed to be a permanent feature, the CountryField Kitchen can be relocated due to the nature of the aluminium, cedar cladding and slate structure, so if you decide to redesign your garden, rest assured, your CountryField Kitchen will fit right in.

5. Fun for all the family

Not just for dinner parties, an outdoor kitchen will encourage you and your family to spend more time in the great outdoors. Preparing and cooking food can be a group activity that the whole family can get involved – it doesn’t just have to be Mum!
